Bob graduated from Drexel University and served in the U.S. Air Force for fifteen years. He spent the rest of his life making considerable contributions in the oil and gas and aerospace industries as a Professional Engineer for several decades. Bob waged a valiant fight against Parkinson's, which could never slow his inventive mind. He was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church, in Missouri City, TX. Bob was involved in local civic activities as well as being a devoted family man and coach who was passionate about his children's sports and hobbies. He was the strength and glue that held his family together and loved everyone.
Bob is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Lana Matthews Grasmeder; son, Matthew Grasmeder and his fiancee Carolyn Batek; daughter, Mindy Grasmeder Ramirez and her husband Jorge; grandchildren, Michelle and Jenna Grasmeder, and Nicolas and Jorge Ramirez; sister, Marie Dormer; aunt, Frances Belzer; sister-in-law, Betty Dumas; nephews, Bob, Tom, John, Andrew, and Mike Dormer; and nieces, Gina and Donna Dumas.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, December 17, 2010, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1510 Fifth St., Missouri City, TX, with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall.
