I haven't seen Trisha since high school graduation, but I attended  St. Thomas Episcopal School with her from 8th through 12th grade. 

I just want to express my sadness and to her family for their great loss and to say how touched I was by the chaplain's beautiful tribute to Trisha.

My name is Phil Wetz and I am one of the Presbyterian lay chaplains who was privileged to visit with Trish at Methodist Hospital.  Since I knew her parents from St Luke's Presbyterian, she always greeted me warmly and we shared Christian fellowship even when she was not feeling well. My favorite visit occurred on Aug 13, 2019 when I got to meet Eric and Jason because I got to witness the love which all of you shared.

My last visit with Trish was on Jan 7, 2020 and I will always be so grateful for Erica's willingness to awaken her mother and ask her if she knew me. I will treasure the memory of Trish's smile when she nodded her head and signaled that she did know me. Plus I will treasure the memory of our last prayer together that day in ICU.

I close by giving thanks for a Christian life well lived and for the opportunity to have gotten to know Trish. Thanks be to God!
