Nettie “Net” Huddleston Ollre was born July 26, 1935 in Uvalde, Texas. She returned to her Heavenly Father on February 16, 2021. She was preceded in death by her father James Preston Huddleston, her mother Rosalie Hobbs, one brother Roy Lynn Huddleston, one sister Verian Mae Bailey, and her son Albert George “Chip” Ollre IV.
Net is survived by her husband Dr. A. G. Ollre III and two sons and their wives, Guiton and Donna Ragsdale; Channon and Kalynn Ollre; and her daughter in law Priscilla Caldwell Ollre; One sister and her husband, Ruby and John Brigman of Uvalde; and one brother and his wife, Les and Rosie Hobbs of Richmond. Net has 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great grandchildren.
Net worked as an administrative secretary for Fort Bend ISD, Sugar Land, Texas and retired in 1989 to Leakey, Texas. She and husband A. G. loved to travel and visited most of the United States including Alaska and most of Canada with their long-time and closest friends Dr. Kennith and Marva Beasley. She loved going to England, Scotland, and Wales with her dear friend, Joella Perkins and checking out her ancestral roots. She loved genealogy and with family members traced her lineage back to Charlemagne.
Net belonged to the Magna Charta Dames, the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century, and Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Retired Teachers Association of Texas, and the Leakey American Legion Auxiliary.
Net’s proudest achievement was her three sons and their families. She loved studying the Bible with her husband A. G. and attending yearly Christian Passover Meetings and Fall Fellowship Meetings. She also loved supporting Texas A&M University.
