Nancy Payne

Nancy was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on July 28, 1938 to Ariel and Lillian Smittle. It was there she met the love of her life Michael Payne and was married for 44 years until his death in 2004.

Nancy had a long educational career as a teacher and counselor in the Alief and Lamar school districts. She was very active in the tennis community of Quail Valley for many years. It was there she met her great group of friends that have been so special to her. She had strong love of animals and was a SOONER to the end.

She was preceded in death by her husband Michael, her parents, and her brother Forrest Smittle. She leaves in god’s loving care, son Kenneth and wife Nancy Payne, daughter Susan Payne; three grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, and Brady. She also leaves numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends.

The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2016 in The Morrow Chapel at The Settegast-Kopf Company at Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, Texas 77478.
