Hubert Donovan Burey Sr.

Hubert was born in Bluefields, Nicaragua on the 5th of October 1954 to Everaud and Ericka Burey, he was the second of six children. He attended Moravian High School in Bluefields, Nicaragua and later completed his radio and television technician certificate in Managua, Nicaragua which is where he married his wife of 44 years in 1978.

Hubert migrated with his family to the United States of America in 1979. Once in the United States he completed his Auto Technician Certificate. He worked for Joe Myers Ford for 28 years as an Auto Technician, he retired in 2017.

Hubert was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed sharing his interest in boating, cars and camping with his family. He was an avid boater and spent much time on the water, whether he was on a jet ski at Lake Somerville or on his boat in Clear Lake.

Hubert is survived by his loving and devoted wife Ruth, son Michael Burey and wife Lacey, mother Ericka Burey, his brothers Charles Burey Sr. and wife Linda and Norman Burey, his Sisters Sharon Burey and Janet Patricia Ingle, grandchildren Dorien, Devin, Luke and Dakota and many loving family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Everaud Burey and son Hubert Donovan Burey, Jr.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday November 15, 2022 at The Settegast-Kopf Company at Sugar Creek 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugarland, Texas 77478 fro 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service following from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.. A reception will immediately follow.
