Dear Georgia, Maya, and Ari,
I was so sorry to hear the news that your Dad passed away.  He was such a great guy; I still remember his cooking awesome food, joking around a lot, and enjoying life.  I know he's in a better place now.  May he rest in peace, and may God's peace and love be with you.

To George's Family and all who read this, We met George when he was 16 thru Benny Quntanilla. We all played in the Band called Gypsy Sun. I lent George my Gibson SG so that he could play with the band. George was a very good guitar player for his age. Our band had George on guitar, Flennis on Bass and Vocals, John Lopez on Drums and Benny on Conga and Vocals. We played Santana, the Stones, War, Joe Cocker, Hendrix. All the good music of the day. We played a lot of Gigs together at Griff's in the Montrose, Mad Dogs near Rice University, the Golden Fleece at Market Square, and an Underground Club on Buffalo Bayou. The last time we saw George was at  Benny's Funeral the same week our oldest son had passed. We had come down to have a Memorial for our two sons in Port Arthur. We live 10 miles north of San Francisco. The drummer of Gypsy Sun John Lopez, called to tell us about George's passing. We are the only two remaining members of the Band, Gypsy Sun. We lost our 2 sons, Dwayne and Brother. They passed at the ages of 32 and 39, in 2003 and 2007. You never get over it you just learn to live with it. My condolences to Georgia, Maya & Ari. He was a great father and uncle. Tio you will always be in my heart. I can imagine you in heaven drinking coffee and eating tamales with grandma. You will be missed.

My God give my nieces the strength to live there life to the fullest like there dad did. He was indestructible and full of life and gave his all to his beautiful daughters and loved them to the moon and back. I miss him dearly and miss his laugh and jokes. He is now there Gaurdian Angel. May he Rest In Piece!!!
