Her Catholic faith was as beautiful as her flowers and plants that she cared for and loved so much. She was very artistic and created many great pieces of work some which she sold but most that she used as gifts and to decorate her home. She loved and cared for her three dogs Winston, Mercy and Roxie that will miss her greatly. She had a passion for travel and adventure treasuring the many trips she had with her family who she deemed Los Cuatro Smiths. The picture books she designed are family treasures.
After her shocking cancer diagnosis in September of 2019 her initial treatment was very successful allowing her several months of good health including being able to attend and dance the night away at her daughter's Quinceañera this past January.
Her ferocious loyalty and influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her and her strong, caring heart. After a courageous year-long cancer battle she faced with great dignity, she peacefully departed this life Sunday, September 20, 2020 at her home surrounded by her husband, children, parents, aunt and siblings. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Remigio and Isabel Jalomo, and Lawrence and Asencion Salinas and one of her closest aunts, Tereza Jalomo who cared for Gabriela as a young child while Felicia and Todd were at work.
