Elizabeth Lowery Lowery Battle

Elizabeth L. Battle; age 93, went to be with our Lord in Heaven on September 7, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years; Joel A. Battle, Jr. She is survived by her three children; Joel A. Battle III of Missouri City, Texas, Randall B. Battle of Macon, Georgia and Karen E. Belver of Tularosa, New Mexico; four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings; Millie Decker, Manual Lowery and Daniel Lowery; all of Louisiana.

Elizabeth was born on July 10, 1922 in New Orleans, Louisiana. After marrying in 1941, she focused on being the best Mom to her three children, and she excelled in every way. While her husband worked in the oil and gas business, Elizabeth worked hard in raising her children and instilling the values that enabled them to be successful in life.

After raising her children, she and her husband travelled the world and had some wonderful adventures and experiences. Following her husband’s retirement, they relocated to Missouri City, Texas where they lived the remainder of their lives. Elizabeth was very devout in her religion and very active in the Holy Family Catholic Church as a parishioner for over 39 years.

Visitation will be at Settegast Kopf funeral home, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, Texas on Tuesday, September 15 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A funeral Mass at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1510 Fifth Street, Missouri City, Texas on Wednesday, September 16 at 10:30 AM with a reception following. Interment will be at Forest Park Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer, Houston, Texas at 2:00 PM.
