Donna Lee Deulley Giblin passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy illness on June 24, 2023. Donna was born on June 1, 1958 in Weirton, West Virginia to Ermel and Margaret Mary Deulley. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 39 years Michael, daughter Heather Marie Dowell (Tyler) and son Zachary. She is also survived by four sisters Brenda Cimino, Mary Margaret Mitchell (Raymond), Theresa Hervey (Trip), and Cindy Bates. Donna has two grandchildren Grace Marie Dowell and Cooper Wayne Dowell who loved their “Gigi”.
Donna grew up in Follansbee, West Virginia where she graduated from Brooke High School. She began her professional career in banking at Minors and Mechanics bank in Steubenville, Ohio. She moved to Houston, Texas in 1981 where she held positions at several bank institutions. In 1992, Donna transitioned her commitment to lifelong contributions as a wife, mother, cook, volunteer, chauffeur, shopper, friend and advisor to countless people she touched. She spent 25 years as a Municipal Utility District (MUD) board member for Fort Bend MUD 48 and more recently held the position as President. Her commitment to MUD 48 and it’s purpose was unwavering.
Donna put others first and lived a life of love for her family, children and animals with needs. She had a passion for cooking, bargain shopping, fall leaves and diet coke.
The family would like to give special thanks to Houston Methodist, Houston Hospice, and in no particular order, Donna Davis, Stephanie Thomson, Laurie Caldwell, Carly Arce, Jackie Childs, Sherry Schreck, Debbie Waddell, Amanda Weldon, Carol Updyke and Jo Ann Masters.
