Delores Marie Rammer went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 15, 2021 due to complications from pneumonia as she privately battled cancer. She was known as Lorrie to all that knew and loved her. Lorrie was born February 7, 1943 in Clinton Oklahoma to Ida Marie and Woodrow Harrison. While living in San Diego, CA she caught the eye of a handsome, cocky sailor from Texas named Robert (Bobby) Anthony Rammer Sr. She has always lovingly referred to him as “my man” or “my boyfriend”. They married in the Assembly of God Church in Poway, CA on October 2, 1960 and moved to Houston, Texas when Bobby’s enlistment in the United States Navy was up. They had two children, Robert (Bobby) Anthony Rammer Jr. and Terri Lee Rammer. Lorrie was a devoted wife, mother, granny and sister. She and Bobby shared a wonderful life and had just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They shared their love of hunting and fishing. Lorrie was one of the top female trap shooters at The Greater Houston Gun Club. She was lovingly referred to as Granny Oakley and Pistol Packing Granny by her 6 grandchildren. Lorrie loved to fish whether it was in Galveston, at their camp in Hitchcock, Texas or at their home they retired to in Somerville, Tx. She was known as the Crappie Queen. She loved to crochet, garden and read her Bible. Her grandchildren think she made the best milk shakes ever but they will mostly miss the annual birthday calls she made to sing happy birthday.
She is survived by her husband Robert Anthony Rammer Sr. Her love lives on through her son Robert Rammer Jr., daughter-in-law Janey Rammer, grandsons Robert Anthony Rammer III, Austin Hunter Rammer, Royce Andrew Rammer and granddaughter Shea Morgan Rammer. Her daughter Terri Rammer, granddaughter Laci Renee Fryar, her husband Ben Fryar, grandson Jeffrey Paul Evans Jr. and great- grandson Aiden Paul Evans. She also has a beloved sister and brother Kathy Molinaro and Durand Jennings.
She is preceded in death by her mother Ida Marie Jones Jennings, father Woodrow Harrison, father-in-law John Rammer, mother-in-law Pauline Rammer, brother-in-law Johnny Rammer, sisters Janice McGuirk, Gayla Watson, brothers Gerald Harrison, Bobby Harrison , recently deceased Danny Harrison and AD Jennings who died at birth.
Lorrie will be missed greatly but the family takes great comfort knowing she is in Heaven with her beloved Jesus and reunited with those that preceded her.
Due to COVID-19 the family will have a small gathering to celebrate her life on Friday, January 22, 2021.
