Coeli Marie Delia Costelo Morera (affectionately known by family members as Delia or Eyai) resident of Sugar Land, TX was born in Leyte, Philippines on February 2,1966. She was one of three children born to Simeon and Marcela Costelo. After a courageous battle with cancer, Coeli passed away on March 23, 2024.
Coeli came to the United States in 2002 for a better life for her family. She was a teacher at School of Science and Technology and was often praised for her impeccable work ethic and service to all of her students.
Coeli was the life of the party. Coeli touched the lives of many people with her infectious laugh and outgoing personality. You’ll often find her dancing in the middle of the dance floor, or singing karaoke with loved ones. No matter how tired she was, she was still full of life.
When she wasn’t working, she would spend time with her family. She especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren and cherished their time together. She often would take them places to explore and learn about the many things in life.
Coeli is survived by her husband Joseph Morera, who she was married to for 31 years; daughter, Natasha Phan and son-in-law Charlie Phan with grandchildren Charlize, Aidan, Beckham and Lucian; daughter, Megan Morera with grand children Emmanuel and Josiah.
A visitation for Coeli Maria Delia will be held Monday, April 1, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at The Settegast-Kopf Company@Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, Texas 77478 followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 AM, A catered reception will occur at 12:00 PM, at the Settegast-Kopf Event room.
An online viewing will be available on zoom for family and friends.
