Bobby Earl Hadnott, affectionately known as "Bull," was born to the late Reverend James Hadnott and Cora Hillard in DeRidder, Louisiana. He spent his early years in Leesville before moving back to DeRidder at the age of five to be near his mother’s siblings. He remained in DeRidder until 1981.
After graduating from George Washington Carver High School, Bobby began his career at Boise Cascade, where he worked from 1969 to 1979. In 1981, he moved to Virginia, where he worked at Bear Island Paper Company and James River Paper Company for seven years. Later, he relocated to California, where he was employed at Texaco Oil Refinery for 15 years. In 2000, Bobby made his final move to Houston, Texas, where he spent the remainder of his career at The Home Depot until his retirement in 2020. While working at The Home Depot, he met Rachael, and the two were married in 2013.
Bobby’s most cherished memories from school were from high school, where he excelled in football, basketball, and track. He played football with honors and also served as President of the Student Council during his senior year. He had a special bond with his classmates from the Class of 1968, whom he considered family. Their connection remained strong throughout his life.
The guiding force in Bobby’s life, from birth to death, was his unwavering faith in God. Through both good times and bad, he never lost sight of his faith—it was his North Star that led him through life.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; Reverend James Hadnott and Cora Hillard; sisters, Charlotte Hadnott Piper and Audrey Mae Hadnott Mayes and Annie Mae Bowie; brothers, David Hillard and John Wesley Hadnot.
