Beverly Ann Hawthorne was born on January 28, 1945 in Port Arthur, TX, Jefferson County. She was the first daughter of the late Harold Don and Jessie Marie Lavine. Beverly grew up in Port Arthur, TX where she attended Lincoln High School. She later met her future husband in Salt Lake City, UT. They would eventually marry and go on to raise two fine sons Christopher and Jeffery.
Beverly pursued a career in Pre-Kindergarten Education and was an active community volunteer for several organizations. She later retired from education and worked part-time in retail sales to have more time to ensure that her teenage sons stayed on the "right" path. Beverly had several hobbies that included ceramics, reading, collecting shot glasses from around the world, as well as being a sports card & sports memorabilia collector. Beverly had a great passion for her ceramics and it's quite evident in the work she did.
Beverly is survived by her two sons Christopher and Jeffery Hawthorne of Missouri City, Texas; seven brothers, Steve (Liz); Tyrone (Debhora); Ray; Jamie; Daryl; Michael; and David (Kim) and a host of extended family members and friends.
Memorial Service will be Saturday, April 9th 12:00pm to 2:00pm at the Settegast-Kopf Company at Sugar Creek located at 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, Texas 77478.
