Anne Owens

Anne was born in Croom, County Limerick, in Ireland, on October 6, 1957, to Patrick and Catherine Collins. She was educated in Limerick before moving to the Newham School of Nursing in London, where she graduated as a State Registered Nurse and subsequently as a State Registered Midwife. She met her husband Gerry in London in December 1981, and they were married on 10 March 1984 in Adare, County Limerick. Anne and Gerry have four wonderful children, Hannah and Patrick, who were born in London, Thomas born in Hong Kong, and Rosanna (“Posie”) who was born in Dubai, UAE. The family moved to Houston from China in June 1996 and have lived here since then.

Anne is survived by her husband, Gerry; daughters, Hannah and Posie; and sons, Patrick and Thomas. Her siblings include her brother, Patrick; and sisters, Mary, Betty, Peg, Kitty, and Geraldine. Anne had a wide circle of close friends in Houston and in many countries around the world. She was loved by all who had the privilege to know her and will be dearly missed.
