I find myself returning to this obituary a few times a year. I knew Amanda for a short period but she made such an impact. She will never stop being missed.

I was looking for Amanda, and found this, My deepest condolences to family and friends, and may I express my gratitude for having known Amanda and her incredible spirit that invoked my highest respect. I am sorry to hear she has passed away, and feel this is a loss to the world. I can only honor her memory by striving to achieve the things we dreamed about and were going to take a lot of work. I will continue on and will try to honor her in all the work that I do that reminds me of her. Thanks to everyone for sharing in prayers for the family and friends, and the whole world that is missing an Angel on Earth. If there is any group or program Amanda or her family was working with she wanted to see continued, will you please contact me so I can help in any way. Thanks and God Bless. May Amanda's visionary spirit live on, like an Angel in Heaven, continuing to inspire and guide us toward the higher purpose she brought out in others she touched and influenced. I knew Amanda many years ago at Texas A&M. Tonight I sadly learned about her passing and I am shocked. Although I hadn't talked to her in many years, I'll forever remember her as a bright and beautiful woman. My condolences to Melanie and Dr. Kiser -- she talked about you both all the time.
