Ruth M. Dunn

Ruth was born on June 23, 1925 in Suffern, NY. She worked for the Rockland County Department of Social Services for more than twenty years before retiring in 1993 and remained a resident of the Suffern and Monsey areas for 96 years until moving to West Palm Beach in 2021.

Ruth was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family brought her more happiness and joy than anything. She is survived by her children, Donna Vanderhoeff, Pamela Ebner (Dennis), and Gregory Dunn (Laura); seven grandchildren, Christina, Jessica, Ryan, Shannon, Joseph, Caitlin, and Kyle; and seven great grandchildren, Robbie, Trever, Alexis, Noah, Sophia, Madison, and Brycen. They will miss her deeply.

In addition to spending time with her family and visiting her many friends, Ruth enjoyed gardening, traveling, and her beloved cat, Molly, her companion for 10 years.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 2-4PM & 7-9PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY. A Funeral Service will be celebrated 11AM on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at The Brick Church, Brick Church Rd, New Hempstead, NY with burial to follow at Brick Church Cemetery.
