Loretta Shea was a kind and gentle soul with an infectious laugh. She will be remembered for her cooking, playing card games, listening to country music and the way she cared for animals. She had a 25 year career with the New York City police department. She was one of the first women to ever graduate from the New York City police academy in the early 1970s. But what matter to her most was her family and friends, foremost was her devotion to her husband Charlie. Their long loving marriage set an example for all around them. Her warm and welcoming spirit will be missed by all that knew her.
