Joseph Anthony Sierra

Joseph was born on April 25, 1943 to the late Pablo and Margarita (Alvarez) Sierra in New York City, NY. Before retiring in 2003, Joseph worked as a banker for over 40 years at Chase Manhattan Bank, and later at Banco Popular. In his free time, Joseph enjoyed watching his beloved Yankees, spending time with family, reading, and listening to latin jazz music.

Joseph is survived by his beloved wife Luz-Marina Sierra; loving children, Joseph Sierra and his wife Marie Yantorno and Gabriel Sierra and his wife Natalie Sierra; adoring grandchildren, Sara Jade, Alana, Victoria and Alexander James; and great-grandson Giovanni. He was predeceased by his parents, Pablo and Margarita Sierra and brother, Paul Sierra.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 5-9pm at the Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Rt. 59, Suffern, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 17th at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern, NY. Burial will follow at Ascension Cemetery in Airmont, NY.
