Ilene Shea

Ilene was born on September 25, 1936, to the late Marvin and Edna (Albrecht) Sorenson in Shevlin, MN.

Ilene was a vibrant, caring person who devoted her life to her family. Ilene loved traveling with her husband Jack.

A hard worker, she enjoyed helping everyone at Provident Bank where she served as manager for many years. Ilene was a member of the Rotary Club. After she retired from the bank she assisted in the Town of Ramapo Tax Office for over ten years.

Besides traveling with her husband Jack, Ilene enjoyed many hobbies. She crocheted blankets and clothes, many of which she which she donated, she also enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles.

Ilene is survived by her loving children, Stephen Eymer and Leslie Eymer; caring brother Ronald Sorenson and sister, Betty Stai and cherished grandchildren, Michael and Daniel Eymer. She is also survived by her beloved great granddaughter Minowa and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Her husband John (Jack) Shea and her sister Delores Kreft predeceased her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 10am to 12pm at the Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Rt. 59, Suffern, NY. Funeral Services will be held at 12pm also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Airmont Lutheran and Coptic Orthodox Cemetery in Airmont, NY.
