Helga was born in Munich, Germany to Karl Georg Albers and Gabriele Marie (Hietl) Albers on December 18, 1935. She attended university studies in Germany and came to New York in 1958. She was a homemaker and enjoyed movies, gardening, reading, exercise and spending time with her family.
Helga is preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Gabriele, and husband Hermann (Hank) Kummert.
Helga is survived by her two sons, Eric and Peter; daughter-in-law Ann Marie; granddaughter Kaitlyn of Rockland County, NY, and brother Edo Albers of Jever, Germany.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home in Suffern, NY on June 22, 2016 from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm. Funeral Services will be held at 8:30 pm also at the funeral home.
