She was born on September 30, 1930 in the Bronx, New York. She was the daughter of the late August & Louise Marina.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Joseph Meloni, Her two daughters and their husbands, Diane Colonna & Richard Colonna and Debbie Karwowski & Richard Karwowski, her Three granddaughters, Dana Peters and her husband, Kyle, Christina Lawrence and her husband, Shane and Lindsay Karwowski and her husband, Danny.
Gloria and Joe were blessed with their first great-granddaughter, Mila, who is the light of their lives.
Gloria and Joe lived across the street from each other in the Bronx and Joe took Gloria to her prom!! They taught their children and grandchildren what the meaning of true love is all about. Gloria was surrounded by her family when she passed, which she was most likely thrilled, as her family was her whole life. Everyone she came in touch with will agree that she was a ray of sunshine and brought a smile to their faces. The world lost a beautiful, loving, caring, compassionate, generous woman, but heaven was blessed with another angel.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 6th from 4 – 8 pm at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, New York. Church services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Sacred Heart Church, 129 Lafayete Avenue, Suffern, New York.
