George J. Mollo was born in New York City to Margaret (DeDomenico) and Julius Mollo on February 22, 1926. He met the love of his life, Helen (Parlatore) while vacationing with his family in Hunter, NY. They married in 1950 and raised their family in White Plains, N.Y; subsequently moving to Tuxedo Park, NY.
By the age of twenty-two George had completed both his undergraduate degree and Masters Degree in Business from Columbia University and had already served two years in the Army. At the age of 52 he retired as an Executive from Allied Chemical Corp. (now Honeywell Corp.) and had subsequent careers as a Corporate Recruiter, Certified Tax Preparer and Financial and Estate Planning Consultant. George was also active in his community and was passionate about local financial decisions affecting the taxpayers, including Tuxedo School Board actions and his Homeowners Association.
George leaves behind a son George Mollo (Terry), and daughters; Denise Morgan (Tom) and Lynne Salierno (Tom) including six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a son Kevin.
The family would like to especially thank George’s two home health aides, Nino Iaseshvili and Ninutsa (Nino) Kordzaia for providing companionship, and loving care and assistance these past twelve months.
The family would also like to thank United Hospice Inc. for the outstanding care provided these past few months, and specifically, his Nurse, Lissette.
The family will receive family and friends on Monday, February 8th from 5-8 p.m. at Wannamaker & Carlough Funeral Home - 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY
Masks are required and social distancing will be strictly adhered to.
A funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, February 9th at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church - 47 Island Road, Mahwah, NJ
Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery; 10 West Stevens Avenue; Hawthorne, NY
