Garry Joseph

Garry Joseph, age 71, of Spring Valley, New York passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. Garry was born September 10, 1950 in Haiti to Lina Azard and Pierre Lionel Elie. On October 28, 1968, he immigrated to the United States where he lived in Nyack for 7 years, Piermont for 3 years, and Spring Valley for 44 years until his death. He married his high school sweetheart, Danielle Cyrille, on December 6, 1975. He worked at Rockland Psychiatric Center in Orangeburg until his retirement in 2006. He was a loving husband, father, uncle, grandfather and godfather to many. He enjoyed spending time with his many friends and family - making sure everyone had a great time! In his spare time he enjoyed grilling, cooking, planting, listening to music, singing and taking trips to Atlantic City. In 2010, he relocated to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. He will mostly be remembered as a kind, generous, and thoughtful man who had a special connection to each of us.

He will live on in the hearts of his devoted family, which includes his 3 children - Gaetane Gomes and husband Luiz of Atlanta, Georgia, and Gaffira Joseph and partner, Rahsean, of Pomona. He is also survived by his aunt Marie Marthe Joseph of Florida and siblings George Elie of Haverstraw, Carole Boucard of Florida, Mireille Joseph of Florida, Ketly Didio of Nyack, NY, Lesly Joseph of Florida, Roldye Adams of Florida and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was dearly loved by his 6 grandchildren including Kaileigh and Kassidy.
