Gail Vosler, age 82, of Airmont, New York went home to rest on Thursday, September 28, 2023 after a brave battle with cancer. Her devotion to her family, friends and her firm belief in God supported her throughout her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.
Gail was born to David and Ruth Holborn on February 6, 1941 in Yonkers, NY. She was the beloved wife of Robert, whom she married on January 7, 1961.
Gail was happiest spending time with her family and friends. Endless memories were created vacationing on Long Beach Island every summer, and holiday get away weekends with the family. Gail was dedicated to health and fitness. She walked every day and practiced yoga and meditation. She was devoted to her faith and was a Eucharistic minister at Sacred Heart Church. She volunteered and taught her children the importance of volunteering at a young age. She had a love for animals and her hobby of grooming her own dogs turned into a lifelong career.
She had many friends including childhood friends, her church community, the school community and her yoga friends.
She and Bob never failed to dance the Lindy at weddings and have her favorite drink, a Manhattan!
Gail was blessed with a large and loving family. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert Vosler of Airmont, NY; son, Robert (Vanessa) Vosler of West Nyack, NY; daughter, Kim (Fred) Tessin of Cornwall, NY; son, Richard Vosler of Lumberton, NJ; daughter, Kelly (Lou) Gabriele of Airmont, NY; daughter, Keri (Matt) Higgins of Mendham, NJ; and pre-deceased by her son Ryan, daughter Theresa and loving daughter in law, Joanne. "Nana" to 17 grandchildren, Nicole, Richie, Matthew, Jason, Gina, Jessica, Chloe, Sarah, Alyssa, Anna, Louis, Matthew, Emily, Dillon, James, Nicholas & Declan. She is also survived by her brother, David (Lynn) of Stevens Point, WI and pre-deceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Carrin Holborn of Medfield, MA along with many nieces and nephews and special friends who loved her and will miss her dearly.
A visitation for Gail will be held Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, New York. Mass Monday, October 2, 2023 11:30AM at Sacred Heart School, 60 Washington Ave Suffern, NY. A burial will follow at Ascension Cemetery, 650 Saddle River Rd., Airmont, New York.
