Fred "Fritz" M. Fabbri

Fred was born on September 21, 1918 in Nanuet, NY to Marcelio and Ana (Fritz) Fabbri. He was married to the late Katherine C. Fabbri (Oryshyn) who passed away on July 28, 2006.

Fred was a proud WWII Navy Veteran. He was very active in the community, he was the owner and operator of Fritz's Service Station in Spring Valley, a member of the VFW, 76 year member of the Columbian Fire Engine Co. in Spring Valley, Organizer of the Chief's Association of Rockland County (1952), a Trustee at the Savings Bank of Rockland County (Wells Fargo Bank) and served as a Trustee of the Village of Spring Valley from 1950-1961. He was also a member of the Lion's Club, American Legion and Elks Lodge.

Fred was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather and friend to many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved children; Marcella Fabbri of Florida, Fred M. Fabbri and his wife Joan of Spring Valley and Wayne Fabbri and his wife Theresa of Suffern, adoring grandchildren; Jason, Yvonne, Frederick, Kimberly, Joseph and Theresa, loving great grandchildren; Alexis, Anthony, Nicholas, Joey and Madison.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the WANAMAKER & CARLOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Boniface Church on Friday, May 10th at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at the Frederick W. Loescher Veterans Cemetery in New Hempstead, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name can be made to: St. Boniface Church, 5 Willow Tree Rd., Monsey, NY 10952 or the Columbian Fire Engine Co., 63 West St, Spring Valley, NY 10977.
