Eugene Michael Grimmig

Grimmig, Eugene Michael of Tuxedo Park, NY. Died August 21, 2010 at age 77. Born October 22, 1932 in New York City to Joseph A. and Josephine (Mulliner) Grimmig. Eugene was predeceased by his beloved wife Marie McCann Grimmig in 2004.

Eugene graduated Chaminade High School in Mineola, NY in 1950, then went on to graduate College from Georgetown University in 1954, and received his law degree from Harvard University. He also served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force.

Eugene worked as Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of NY and on the Department of Justice Criminal Division trial staff in Washington, D.C. before joining General Electric, where he worked as an attorney for 35 years.

Survived by his devoted children Charles J. Grimmig (wife Jennifer), Eugene P. Grimmig, Mary U. Grimmig and Catherine A. Burgos (husband Dwight), cherished grandchildren Elizabeth, Michael and Ronan and a caring brother Robert J. Grimmig.

Visitation Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home 177 Route 59 in Suffern, NY. Funeral Mass Thursday 11am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Tuxedo followed by an interment at Ascension Cemetery.
