Eileen was born on November 29, 1937 in New York City to Martin Hoar and Katherine (Gleason). She worked for 29 years at Fordham University. On June 28, 1958, she married to Martin James Pfeiffer. They raised three sons, Michael, Martin Jr. and John.
Eileen had a passion for her family, friends and all she met. She loved her Irish American heritage and was passionate to her Catholic faith. She loved being outside, walking and was very active. She was not only admired by her friends and family, but also to all she welcomed. Eileen had a presence of love and caring about her that was captivating.
Eileen was preceded in death by her husband Martin, her father Martin and her mother Katherine. She was also preceded by her brothers, Simon, David and James and her two sisters Margaret and Josephine. Eileen was the last of her loving and wonderful generation. She is survived by her three sons, Michael, Martin and John and two daughter-in-laws Karen and Ingrid, three grandchildren, Kyle, Rhiannon and Brett and two great-grandchildren Emmie and Lucy Pfeiffer. In addition, she is survived by many loving nieces and nephews whom she is forever proud of them.
A beautiful Funeral Mass in Honor of Eileen Pfeiffer was held by Father Babadudu Ucheoat at the Chapel of Good Samaritan Hospital on April 29, 2020.
Christian Burial will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery on May 1, 2020. A celebration of life gathering will be held in the future.
