Dennis J Foley

Dennis J. Foley died peacefully at home with his family and many friends by his side on April 10, 2018. Dennis was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 28, 1945 to Edith and Frederick Foley. He worked as a Pharmacologist for Lederle Labs/Pfizer for his entire career. Dennis married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Barbara, on August 25, 1968. They lived in Chestnut Ridge for 40 years and raised their 3 children. They moved to Ithaca, NY and Ramsey, NJ to be near all of their grandchildren. Dennis was an avid gardener, beekeeper, bread baker, sports enthusiast, especially the Yankees, lover of the outdoors, especially hiking, biking, and kayaking, and working with others at the many ministries at his church. Dennis is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara; his 3 children, Erin, Sean (Karen), and Timothy (Coleen) and his 6 grandchildren, Harmony, Jahya, Eli, Brennan, Amelia and Aanya; his father Frederick and brother Gregory. Family will receive friends on Friday, April 13, 2018, from 4-8pm at the Church of the Presentation, and a Mass of Resurrection will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018, 9:00am at the Church of the Presentation, 271 West Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation, www.mmrf.org, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, www.cff.org.
