Dennis J. Dale

Born in the Bronx, NY, on September 9, 1943, Dennis was the cherished son of the late Charles and Ruth (Murray) Dale. His early education was at Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx, followed by his graduation from St. John's University. Dennis furthered his education by obtaining a master's degree.

Dennis's love story began in the Catskills, where he met his future wife, Marion, while working at a police resort during the summer. Fate had it that they lived only a few blocks apart in the Bronx. They exchanged vows on December 16, 1967, and later moved to Rockland County.

Dennis's professional life was marked by dedication and service. He began his career with the NYPD before transitioning to the FDNY. Initially stationed at 21 Truck, he was later accepted into the Rescue and concluded his career in Rescue 1. After retiring from the fire department, Dennis embarked on a second career in the insurance and investment field.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Marion, who passed away on October 11, 2018.

Dennis leaves behind his beloved sons, Charles Dale and Andrew Dale, along with loving daughter-in-law Karen; his caring sister, Andrea Dale; and his cherished grandsons, Robert and Connor Dale.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the WANAMAKER & CARLOUGH FUNERAL HOME, located at 177 Rt. 59, Suffern, NY.

In memory of Dennis, and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. His legacy of love, service, and family will forever be remembered and cherished by those who knew him.
