Anneliese was born to Albert and Sofia Bongartz on February 3, 1918 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. She immigrated to the United States in 1961 moving to Flushing, Queens and finally settling in Freehold, NJ. Anneliese worked as a high school art teacher in Germany and instilled the love of creativity in many young people. Later, in the United States, Anneliese had a long and successful career as a commercial greeting card artist and her designs were sold throughout some 25 countries in the world. She was an avid gardener who loved to tend to her beautiful flower garden.
Anneliese is survived by her beloved daughters Ingrid Zuleger (Heinz) of Germany and Heide Farrar (John) of Suffern, NY, cherished grandchildren Monika, Marion, Deborah and Jason, and 8 adored great grandchildren. Anneliese was predeceased by her husbands, Heinz Sudhoff, Richard Nicol and Caleb Davis III.
A Funeral Service will be held for Anneliese at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Franklin Turnpike, Ramsey, NJ on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 10:30AM.
