Ann Catherine DeMeo

Ann Catherine DeMeo, 98, of Airmont, NY went to her heavenly rest on April 10, 2014. Ann was born in Manhattan to Michael and Catherine Paccione on January 18, 1916. She grew up in both Manhattan and the Bronx, where she attended Theodore Roosevelt High School. She was married to Anthony R. DeMeo on September 3, 1939 in the Church of St. Augustine, Bronx, New York. Her husband passed away in 1994 after fifty-five years of happy marriage. Ann is survived by her loving children Catherine Rodriguez (Anthony), Anthony R. DeMeo (Anne Marie), Veronica Boesch (Robert), and Michael DeMeo (Susan), cherished grandchildren Ann Berger, Maria Matos, Elise Niola, Michelle Diliberto, Stacy Robbin, Robert Boesch, Michael Boesch and Elizabeth DeMeo, and her adored great-grandchildren Sal Matos, Analise Berger, Amanda Niola, Zach Robbin and Natalie Robbin. She is also survived by her sister Marie Barbier of Harrington, Delaware and many niece and nephews. Her four brothers and two sisters predeceased her. Ann moved with her family to Rockland County in 1957 from Parkchester in the Bronx, and has lived in Airmont for 49 years. She loved to cook, sew, crochet, and make quilts and afghans for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 13 from 2-4 & 7-9 at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY 10901. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 14, 2014, 10 AM at The Church of the Presentation, Upper Saddle River, NJ. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY.

Donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
