Angela Norberta Akers Metzger

Angela grew up in Rockland County, New York and worked at Ciba Geigy until her retirement. Angela loved animals, Hallmark movies and Christmas. She will be remembered for her sweet and gentle ways and her genuine loving smile.

Angela is preceded by her parents Angela and Harold Akers, brothers Harold Akers and Brother Thomas Akers, and sister Audrey Gannon.

Angela is survived by her loving husband Charles for over 50 years, daughter Lee Ann Metzger, granddaughters Brittany Visaggio and Courtney Davey. She also leaves behind her sister-in law Mary Akers of Florida, many nieces and nephews and friends who loved her dearly.

The family will receive friends Thursday January 5, 2023 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home 177 Route 59, Suffern, New York 10901. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30am on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Sacred Heart Church, 129 Lafayette Ave, Suffern, New York 10901. Burial to follow at Gates of Praise Cemetery, Sloatsburg NY.
