Allen Panico, survived by Anthony Panico and wife Lisa, Jennifer Hodge and husband Matt and Stephanie Panico, born March 22,1945 peacefully joined his Lord and Savior and his late wife, Paula, in the Kingdom of God on February 8, 2023. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by loving family.
Allen is also survived by his four adoring grandchildren, Samantha and Melanie, daughters of Anthony and Lisa and Julianna and Daniel, daughter and son of Jennifer and Matt.
Allen, son to the late Anthony and Amelia (Molly) and brother to the late Marilu Torlucci, graduated from Barringer High School in his beloved hometown of Newark, NJ and went on to earn his college degree from Newark College of Engineering, now New Jersey Institute of Technology. Allen retired from his successful and rewarding career as a Manufacturer’s Rep in Electrical Engineering during which he made lifelong friendships. Aptly nicknamed “Brother,” Allen loved spending time with his cherished family, bowling, fishing, taking photographs, watching ESPN and sharing his unique (and sometimes a little inappropriate) humor with friends over a delicious meal.
Friends, family and community are invited to celebrate Allen’s life from 3p.m. to 8p.m. on Saturday, February 11 at Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home 177 Route 59 Suffern, NY. A Funeral mass is planned for 12:30p.m. Monday, February 13th at Sacred Heart Church 127 Lafayette Avenue Suffern, NY. Entombment to follow funeral mass at Ascension Cemetery, 650 Saddle River Road Airmont, NY.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in Allen's memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a charity near and dear to Allen’s ever-charitable heart.
