Ruth Bowie Dudley died peacefully in her sleep on August 29, 2020. She follows her husband Kenneth and daughter Dr. Lorraine Stanfield, and is survived by daughters Susan Dudley and Jeanne White, sister Betty Chapman, and five grandchildren. Ruth was a generous, creative, and loving mother, neighbor, and friend who brought wisdom and warmth to those fortunate enough to know her. She enjoyed nature, her garden, cooking, creative arts, animals, hiking and camping, and getting worked up over politics. She marveled at the changes she witnessed during her rich 95-year life; she lived with outhouses and ice houses, remembered the first electric wringer-washing machines, and lived to surf the web and Zoom with her grandchildren.
