Peter and I played basketball together at Weston High School.  I just learned of his passing today, and I'm sorry to have missed the funeral.  Should his family read this, please know that you (and Peter) are in my thoughts.

Peter James and I started in the produce business together right around the same time. While learning the ropes of our family's businesses we quickly became close friends. We hung out together, played basketball together and shared tons of laughs. Pete always lit up any room he entered and was always the center of attention. He truly lived his life to the fullest. He is the only person I knew who could decide on a Saturday he was going to the Superbowl, then proceed to party on Bourbon st.,  be on time for dinner in Houston, go to the game and be back for work Monday looking fresh as a daisy. He never wasted his time sweating the small stuff and showed an unbelievable will to live. I will truly miss him and carry his friendship inside of me forever.
