Lillian was born on November 23, 1918 in West Roxbury, daughter of the late Thomas Leo and Delia (Bracken) Heffernan. She was born and raised in West Roxbury.
Lillian resided in West Newton for twelve years before settling in Sudbury in 1956. Before she was married, she worked as an administrative assistant for Lever Brothers in Cambridge. More recently, Lillian worked for Rexnord Division of Lund Products for twenty years, until her retirement in 1986. She was also actively involved in Girl Scout Leadership for many years.
Lillian enjoyed gardening, reading, and doing crossword puzzles. But most of all, her enjoyment came from being with her family.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of forty-seven years, Richard H. Wright; by her brother, Leo Heffernan, and by her son-in-law, Gordon Rock.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Rock of Sudbury; Lynn Kreutz and her husband Edward of Sudbury; three grandsons, Dana Rock and Jonathan and Ryan Kreutz; also three nephews, a niece and many grand-nephews and grand-nieces.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, 4-8, at the Duckett-Waterman Funeral Home, 656 Boston Post Road, Sudbury. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday 9:00, at Our Lady of Fatima, 160 Concord Road, Sudbury. Burial will follow at New Town Cemetery in Sudbury.
