It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Henry Curtis Berry Sr., aged 90, on February 21, 2024. He left us peacefully at the Oak Knoll Health Care Center in Framingham Massachusetts, surrounded by the love of his family.
Henry was born on December 16, 1933, in Aberdeen, Mississippi, to Henry Columbus Berry and Ann S. Berry. An educator turned successful entrepreneur, Henry dedicated his early career to education, eventually founding his own company, HCB Sales. His passion for Adult Basic Education, English as a Second Language, and GED textbooks defined his professional legacy.
Family was at the center of Henry's world. He is survived by Dora L. Berry, his loving wife of 66 years, and their children: Artie Ann (RT) Berry, Henry Curtis Berry Jr and his wife Eileen M. Berry, Doretta Berry and her husband Ernie Rich. He was a pillar of unwavering support, guidance, and love for his family, and his memory will forever live on in their hearts.
In addition to his immediate family, Henry leaves behind grandchildren Jaime Catherine McCauley, Melanie Ela Lindgren, and Henry Alexander Rich and his great grandchildren Jaidyn Lindgren, Declan McCauley and Fion McCauley who brought immeasurable joy and laughter into his life.
Beyond his professional and family life, Henry had a passion for jogging, basketball, cycling, and golf. In all that he did, he approached life with passion and dedication, inspiring those around him.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday February 29th from 4:00 – 5:00pm at Duckett Funeral Home 656 Boston Post Rd, Sudbury, Ma 10776. The service to celebrate Henry's life will be held from 5:00 – 6:00pm at the same location. On Friday March 1st at 11:00am an Interment Ceremony will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Winchendon.
