Doris Louise Rich of Marlborough MA passed away on Monday December 2nd after a brief illness. Born in Fairfield CT on September 21, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Edward Jennings Pease and Mabel Knapp Prout Pease. Doris spent most of her adult life in Newton, MA and later Weston, MA. She graduated from Newton High School in 1938 and the Fay Secretarial School of Boston in 1940. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 yrs, Newton attorney and alderman, Paul S Rich. She was also preceded in death by her sister Lorena Meyer. She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law: Betsy Smith of Fresno, CA; Beverly Kahn and husband Robert Kahn of White Plains, NY; and Kimberly Jungherr and husband Mark Jungherr of Amesbury, MA and Williston, FL. Also surviving her are four grandchildren: Cameron Basquiat of Las Vegas NV, Derek Smith of Reno NV, Adam Kahn of Oakland CA, and Crystal Valentine of Wellesley MA, plus 5 great grandchilden and a large extended family. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday December 7th at the Duckett-J. S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Rd. (rt.20) Sudbury at 3:00 pm. Guests are invited to arrive early and visit with Doris’ family at the Funeral Home between 2:00 and 3:00 o’clock.
