Diane Margaret Melanson

After graduating from St. Mary’s High School in Waltham, Diane married the love of her life, Charlie, who predeceased her in 2013. A resident of Sudbury for over 60 years, Diane worked in the insurance industry, where she made lifelong friends whom she loved spending time with long after retiring.

She cherished her time volunteering at the Sudbury Food Pantry, which she did for over 20 years. A generous spirit, she received so much joy from helping people. She was incredibly thoughtful, a wonderful listener, and always knew the right thing to say.

Diane leaves her three children and their spouses; Chuck and Dawn Melanson of Marlborough, Sharon and Tom Russo of Wayland and Trish and Bill Bishop of Hudson. She was the much-loved Gram of Kris, Brooke, Nicole, Lauren, Nick, Natalie and Michael, and Great-Grandma to Kali and Coleman.

She will be remembered for the warm loving home she provided her family, which always included the animals she loved so much.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 21,2023 at Duckett Funeral Home of J.S. Waterman & Sons, 656 Boston Post Road, Sudbury, from 9:30am to 10:30am with a Funeral Service to follow in the funeral home at 10:30am. Interment to follow services at Wadsworth Cemetery, Sudbury.
