Born February 2, 1933, in Watertown, he was the son of Carlo J. Lepordo Sr. and Grace Lepordo (Venutti). He was raised in Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School before entering the military. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Carl worked at Sears for 38 years until he retired. He was a proud member of the Sudbury VFW and volunteered at Loring Elementary School & Senior Center for 20+ years. One of his true passions was youth baseball. Carl was a dedicated umpire throughout Eastern Mass for over 50 years and involved with the Sudbury Youth Baseball program since 1968. He was avid sports fan and a season ticket holder for the NE Patriots since 1960. One of his favorite pastimes was watching his grandchildren play sports.
Beloved husband of Elena V. (Bomba) Lepordo of Sudbury for 60 years; devoted father of Carlo Lepordo and his wife Caroline of Sudbury, Lisa Maksander and her husband Marc of Marlboro, Linda Lepordo of North Quincy; proud grandfather of Ben, Sam, and Hannah. He was predeceased by his siblings, Anthony Lepordo, Joseph Lepordo and Clara Lepordo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 2, from 4- 7:30 at the Duckett – J.S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road ( Route 20), Sudbury.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, February 3, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at New Town Cemetery in Sudbury.
