Anthony Howard, better known as “Tony” was born on September 22, 1957 in Boston, MA to Janie Howard and the late Thomas Howard. He was the youngest of three sons. Tony left this life entirely much too early on Saturday evening, October 4, 2014 with his family and pastor by his side.
Tony grew up in the south end of Boston and continued to maintain relationships with most of his friends from his youth. He graduated from Brighton High School in 1976 and later held several employment positions before realizing that he wanted to become an Ironworker. On September 29, 1983 Tony received a certificate of proficiency in combination welding. In January of 1984 he began his apprenticeship as an Ironworker and completed his training becoming a Journeyman Ironworker on June 14, 1988. Tony was very proud of being an Ironworker and equally proud to be a member of the Ironworker's Union Local 7. Having other ambitions, Tony completed the Boston Bartenders School of America course of instruction in Mixology and Bar Management in July of 2009.
Tony met Lesli Elizabeth LeBeau, and after seven years of dating married her on November 28, 1986. They remained a couple for 35 years. From this union were born two children, Anthony Nolan and Capri Marie. Tony and his family moved to the MetroWest area and made it their permanent home. In time he became baptized and a member, along with his family, of the Greater Framingham Community Church. Tony loved his family very much.
He was a faithful and loyal brother you could always depend on. He traditionally attended the annual Thanksgiving football game between English High and Boston Latin with his longtime friends and son. You can expect Tony to show up at any function, dressed to impress. He was the first one to arrive and the last one to leave, with his camera in hand. He loved to entertain his family and friends. He was a very humorous man, and telling jokes came easy with no effort at all. Tony always made you laugh. He was the go-to guy for all information, the Mr. Fix-it man, a connoisseur of music—especially jazz, a cigar aficionado, a mixologist, a very enthusiastic sports fan, a great cook, a proud father, a fun uncle, a dedicated husband, and the one thing everybody knew, Tony had style! He was a proficient man who will surely be missed by all.
He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife of 28 years, Lesli Howard, a loving son, Anthony Nolan Howard and an adoring daughter, Capri Marie Howard; his mother, Janie Howard; his brothers, Thomas A. Howard (Dorothea) and Timothy “Pokey” Howard; his mother-in-law, Jacqui LeBeau; his sisters-in-law, Rita Berry and Veronica Bushee (Peter); his nephews, Thomas and Terrance Howard, Daron and Adron Porter; his nieces, Shawnda Howard and Loren Berry, extended family and many friends.
