Muriel Elizabeth Cincotta of Stuarts Draft died on January 27, 2013. Born on November 9, 1924, in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Lillian Harkness, and wife of the late John Cincotta. Muriel lived in Teaneck, NJ for nearly four decades before retiring with her husband to Stuarts Draft in 1992, where she became an active member of the Calvary United Methodist Church of Stuarts Draft.
Muriel served 25 years in the Girl Scouts of America, finishing her service in New Jersey at the head of Bergen County’s organization. For having been a defense worker during World War II, Muriel was honored, along with other “Rosie-the-Riveter” colleagues, at the White House in 2004.
Muriel is survived by her son Richard Cincotta and wife, Preminda Jacob, and by her daughter Bonnie Likely and husband, Kenneth, as well as by her grandchildren Malayika Cincotta and Bridget, Owen and Patrick Likely. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stuarts Draft Rescue Squad or the Animal Hospital of Stuarts Draft.
