Elmer S. Schrock

Elmer S. Schrock, 86, of Stuarts Draft passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 at his home following a brief illness from lymphoma.
Born July 9, 1931 in Kempsville, VA, he was the son of the late Simon and Sadie (Yoder) Schrock.
Elmer was a retired Pastor and faithful member of Pilgrim Christian Fellowship Church and also served as a Pastoral Advisor to Penn Valley Christian Retreat in PA. He was well known in Stuarts Draft and the greater Augusta County community as the owner and manager of Schrock Electrical Service for his many years of home repairs and maintenance services. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his church and his many long-time acquaintances in the area.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ida (Miller) Schrock and two infant grandchildren.
Survivors include his eight children, Sadie Schrock, Simon Schrock (Ellen Miller), both of Stuarts Draft, Twila Schrock of Amherst, VA, Ruth Miller (Mark) of Belvidere, TN, Cathy Schrock of Mendon, MI, Delores Schrock of Amherst, VA, John Schrock (Iva Miller) of Safford, AL, and William Schrock (Brenda Kinsinger) of Amherst, VA; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Pilgrim Christian Fellowship Church.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the church with the ministers of Pilgrim Christian Fellowship Church officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Penn Valley Christian Retreat, 7980 Ferguson Valley Road, McVeytown, PA 17051.
