Born October 23, 1957 in Staunton, he was a son of Betty Lois (Locklear) Cohron and the late James Louis Cohron. On July 5, 1980 he married the former Kathy McGann. The two shared a blessed marriage of 40 years.
Chris was a 1976 graduate of Stuarts Draft High School. Prior to retirement, he was employed by PlyGem where he worked for 42 faithful years. As an avid outdoorsman he enjoyed archery, hunting, hiking, and surf fishing. He also enjoyed throwing darts and playing baseball. His favorite life past time was enjoying every ball game that came on TV. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to many.
In addition to his mother and wife, survivors include his children, Nathan Cohron and wife, Megan Crouch of London, UK and Kayla Cohron of Charlottesville; siblings, Becky Fitzgerald and husband, Joey of Greenville, Debbie Funk and husband, Tim of Stuarts Draft, and Bruce Cohron of Stuarts Draft; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at Lyndhurst United Methodist Church.
There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
