Brenard Reuben Campbell

Brenard Reuben Campbell, 80, of Stuarts Draft, passed away on Tuesday, August 20th, 2024 at his home. Brenard was born in Ladd, VA to Bertha (Yutzy) Campbell and Harold P Campbell on June 5th, 1944. Brenard worked for S.H. Howard Trucking, Central Virginia Rental and WayneTex over the course of a long career. Brenard will be remembered as a wonderful parent, grandparent and husband. He enjoyed music, puzzle books, singing, was a green thumbed tree planter, and taught Sunday School. Brenard loved to serve the Lord and help people, and was a longtime member of Mountain View Mennonite Church as well as a founding member of the Dooms and Wilson Volunteer Fire Departments. Brenard was preceded in death by his parents, and a granddaughter. Brenard is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Becky Campbell of Stuarts Draft; his children, Eldon B. Campbell of McDowell, Lisa R. Campbell of Stuarts Draft and Lori K. Campbell of Stuarts Draft; as well as his grandchildren, Bren Brookman, Andrew Brookman, Sierra Watson, Teddy Johnson, and Angel Johnson. He is also survived by a great granddaughter, Wrenlee Brookman, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition, Brenard is survived by his siblings, Eldwin Campbell and wife Vera Rose, Ruel Campbell and wife Pat, Arline Heatwole and husband Mark, Boyd Campbell and wife Velma, Eugene Campbell and wife Cleora, Orlin Campbell and wife Eileen, J.P. Campbell and wife Catherine, and Catherine Shoemaker and husband Matthew. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted on Friday, August 23rd, 2024 at 2:30 P.M. at Mountain View Mennonite Church with Pastor Earl Monroe officiating with a time of gathering and fellowship to follow.
