Billie Ann (Roberson) Spruill

She was born October 29, 1954 in Norfolk, VA; she was a daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Roberson and Marion Ann Curtis. She is also the step-daughter of Betty Roberson of Portsmouth, VA.

Billie worked as a hairdresser and enjoyed making her clients beautiful until her health forced her to retire. One of her greatest joys in life was her only granddaughter, Natalie Ingram. In her spare time, she enjoyed cross stitching, scrapbooking, shopping and the love of her animals. Those who knew her were always amazed through her struggles with her health how big her will to live was.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Demasse.

In addition to her step-mother, survivors include her loving husband of over thirty years, Robert Wayne Spruill; daughters, Evelyn Ingram, Christine Spruill, Jeana Robertson, Rhonda York and Robin Matthews; granddaughter, Natalie Ingram; siblings, John Roberson and wife, Teresa, Aloha Everett, Grover C. “Lee” Roberson and Julie Fleming and husband, David; nieces and nephews, Justin, Daniel and Jessica.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 1870 Stuarts Draft Highway, Stuarts Draft. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the residence of her daughter, Evelyn Ingram, 852 Augusta Farms Road, Stuarts Draft, VA.
