She was born January 28, 1952, a daughter of the late Thomas Roy and Mary Belle (Williams) Bush.
Ann was a retired CNA from the former Liberty House Nursing Home in Waynesboro, later retired from Augusta Health. She was a member of White Hill Church of the Brethren. She was faithful to her Lord and raised her daughter in church. She was known to have a heart of gold, never met a stranger and was loved by many. Ann enjoyed riding in her daughter’s Jeep Wrangler and giving out rubber ducks to fellow jeep owners.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Wesley Coffey on August 12, 2012; brother, Jim Bush; sister-in-law, Margie Williams; mother-in-law, Ethel O’Donnell, and a nephew, Steven Hoover.
Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Coffey of which it took her mother 10 years and 9 months to have a miracle biological child; as well as a special adoptive daughter, Dede Diggs, and many others that were special to her in their own way. She also leaves a special adopted granddaughter, Daisy Ann. She also leaves her two special K-9 companions, Brooklyn and Me Me; brother, Jon Bush and wife, Donna of Stuarts Draft; sister-in-law, Doris “Jim” Bush; sister-in-law, Terri McBride of West Virginia; brothers-in-law, Dennis Coffey and wife, Brenda of Grottoes, Paul Q. Coffey of Staunton, sister-in-law, Genny Robinson of Waynesboro; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and special friends.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at White Hill Church of the Brethren with Pastor David Chappell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Jon Bush, Tom Bush, Jimmy Madison, Jimmy Bush, Mike “Red” Simmons and Michael Hebron.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2023 at the church.
