Thomas Richard Gill

Tom, an Army veteran, was born in Brooklyn, New York and spent his early life establishing and operating ARC Welding and Structural Steel Inspection Company in NY, but his love for warm winds and the sea led him and his wife to move to Stuart in 2000 where Tom deepened both his knowledge and passion for all things nautical. Captain Tom was happiest at the helm of a boat whether it was his beloved sail boat, Windsong, or assisting other boaters in need. Tom’s natural ability to start up a conversation with anyone, anywhere and his quick response to lend a hand to anyone in need, led him to develop many long lasting friendships. In addition to his many friends who will miss his smiling face and cheery greetings,

Tom is survived by his loving wife and first mate, Jodie; his mother Dolores Gill; his sister Eileen and brother-in-law John Diedrich, and their seven children. He was predeceased by his father Richard Gill.

A private service will be held at a later date
