Robert DeMaria

Born on January 22, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Charles and Esther DeMaria. He moved to Hobe Sound 24 years ago from Brooklyn.

Robert was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of VFW Post 10132 of Hobe Sound.

He retired from the hospitality industry, where he had worked as a bartender.

Robert had been an active member of Ridgeway Community.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 50 years, Marilyn DeMaria; loving children, Joanne McGlynn (William Cassese, Sr.), Diane Echevarria Israel Echevarria) and Robert McGlynn; cherished grandchildren, Alethea Echevarria, Robert Echevarria, Nicole McGlynn, Robert McGlynn, Stephen McGlynn and William Cassese.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles DeMaria; sister, Gladys Dolack; and grandson, Jason Echevarria.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Robert’s life will be held at Ridgeway Community Clubhouse, time and date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hall-Bryan VFW Post 10132, 6101 SE Dixie Hwy, Stuart, FL 34997.
