A great guy. Kind and loving person.  A friend to everyone. It took so long to write  this because I didn't want to believe it. It was great to be your classmate all those years.

only weeks before robert passed i made a surprise visit to him to express how much i loved him. i gave him a card of thanks and we read it together. i had told him that he was my second greatest teacher. i explained that my dad had to be my greatest. i had lost my dad 30 years ago. i told robert how grateful i was for his being there for me while my dad could not. i told him i loved him for being a good dad. these 2 men were cut from the same mold and they don't make men like these. they are self made.  i consider myself lucky to have had both in my life. no man i have ever met can even come close but there was a woman. mom.
i miss you robert and hope these words console all your loved ones

Today, 8/11/17 would have been Robert's 66th birthday the same day as my sister's. I happen to share the same birthday as his sister. I miss them both and their memory will not fade.

My deepest condolences to the Bauman family. Robert was one of the first people I met when I moved to FL in 2004. He was always the life of the room, had a great heart and steered everyone in the right direction to success. You will be missed my friend. Thanks for all of the stories, laughs, and guidance. May you rest in peace, you will never be forgotten.

I wanted to express my deepest expressions of sympathy for all those in the Bauman family.  Robert was truly "one of a kind".  I loved his ability to captivate an audience and his art at "telling a story".  I knew Robert on a work level through Walmart but had more "down time" with him while living in Florida from 1995 to 2001.  The first time I met him..... I thought he was a brother to Howard Stern.  Long hair and a voice.  Robert was and will always be one of my favorite people in Walmart.  We shared time each year for 20 years.  His passion for life and the pride he shared with his co-workers about his wife and kids will reign supreme for me.  
I know that you will miss him, that is to be expected.  Know that the time he spent with you, the joy you shared with him will and has prepared you for anything and any challenge that life will bring you in your futures. hi, to whom it may concern, I am a pharmacist for walgreens. I used to work with Robert at Walmart and I loved him, he was a beautiful person. He and I always were on excellent terms and he was sad to see me go to Walgreens and begged me to stay and said if I ever wanted to come back let him know. I am with Walgreens since 2001 and the company has changed. I had a dream l that I should call Robert and transfer out of Walgreens.Today is 8/13/2015 7:43am. I was going to make that call because of the dream even though my husband is sleeping in the other room. Of course now Walmart is closed so I thought I might google him and call him later and just tell my husband later that I finally decided to go back to Walmart  because I know Robert will take care of me ,like when I left K-mart.He sill be so happy when he hears this. Then I saw that he died and I am so so so sad. Maybe an angel is looking over him and maybe it is not my time to leave Walgreens afterall. I would have only left and gone back because of Robert, I will truely miss him and was truely grateful to him for all that he done for me. Walgreens lost a beautiful , brilliant and charming person. I am so sad. I wish I knew what he died of and here is my name and Number if anyone wants to talk Donna Piltch( formerly Lichtman) 561-880-7745  I wish I had told him how much I missed working for him before he died but I was afraid he would make me come back to Walmart. Now that I am ready he is gone and I am so sad he died. I will stay put with Walgreens but I have an empty and sad spot in the pit of my stomach. I am soo sooo sad  he is gone.

I met Robert when I worked in the pharmacy dept. in Port St.Lucie, Fl.  When he saw me he always stopped and said hello, and asked how I was doing.  I will miss him. Too young of  a man to pass away.

I met Robert several years ago when I came to the Pharmacy Division. When the phone would ring, and it was Robert, I was in for a treat. I loved his honesty and his ability to tell it like it is.  Sometimes he would tell me about his incredible life experiences from the early college days.  Sometimes, he would just listen...but of course then he would give me advice.  "I've been there." he'd say. He was just such a genuinely nice guy, with a huge heart.  Robert will be remembered forever and greatly missed.

To his children, Your father, my friend since 1978; was a great friend, true to his word, a man with a big heart and full of life to share with others. You have wonderful "Bauman" values passed on to you. Treasure your father as he treasured each of you as his love to all of you was unconditional. The Koffler family in Toronto is saddened by Roberts early departure and for myself I will dearly miss him.

I will never forget his sense of humor and Robert-isms when after 10 years in Florida with Walmart, I transferred to Michigan. He did not want to even try to grasp that snow concept. My thoughts and prays to his family and friends during this time of loss.

Robert was an inspirational individual and a great District Manager for those of us in Melbourne.
